Manila – July 21, 2011 – GlobalOne Philippines President John Orrock has been invited for an interview last July 20, 2011 at the ABS-CBN News Channel’s (ANC) talk show entitled Future Perfect.
The interview focused on the question “Is the Philippines ready for the Cloud?” where part of some key points included a thorough discussion on the growing demand for cloud computing.
“Just how much more widespread do you think cloud computing will be adopted by Filipino businesses?” asked Tony Velasquez, ANC’s Future Perfect host.
“The capital cost is quite low, you could subscribe to a system for a thousand pesos a month whereas before you may have to spend five thousand [pesos] for a similar system then try to support it. Because of [this] low capital cost entry point, and the ability of the change in technology allows more innovation, I think it’s going to be very widespread,” says John Orrock.
The conversation continued with GlobalOne’s services, its market competition, cloud security features, and how cloud computing can be of benefit to the Philippine Government.
“The Philippine government. How much more can it do, better, for e-services if it had cloud computing at its disposal?” asked Tony.
